There's a trend on social media where 3d artists simulates cloth and show how many subdivisions you need to get a realistic cloth simulation. The videos are quite popular (some of them have millions of views) so I decided to give it a try and at the same time learn cloth physics in Blender. Spoiler: I didn't get millions of views (yet).
The first cloth simulation made around Halloween thus the ghost theme.
Here I wanted to experiment by adding a negative pressure to the cloth yo make a vacuum bag.
After seeing a YouTube video with Ian Hubert how to make tarp cloth, I decided to make my own version. Here I also added sound for the first time. The tarp sound is an IKEA bag.
I realized it was easy to recreate Minecraft inside of Blender so I continued with the theme. Having a Minecraft theme is also making it easier to get views on socials. The sheet sound is me shaking my own bed sheet.
This chicken was originally a soft body physics, but it was really slow. Instead I made it a cloth physics with pressure, which makes it very similar to soft body physics, but it is faster.
Got tired of Minecraft and decided to reuse some old Lego assets I previously made.
Here I combined all different clips into one continuous clip - there's no cut between each subdivision - you can see the head is constantly rotating throughout the animation.
Wireframe mode of previous video to easier see what happens.
